Kathmandu Valley is the cultural, historical and political center of Nepal. The Kathmandu valley holds a considerably high number of places recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. The Valley contains three medieval cities famous for their arts and architectures - Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Each has an artistic exposition of graceful temples, elegant palaces, brick-paved courtyards and quaint streets. One is sure to be enchanted by the multi roofed temples, exquisite monasteries, stone carvings and wooden carvings, and the age-old traditions and religious festivals. Kathmandu has its own brand of cultural life which is based on unique mixture different religions, faiths, and practices including Hinduism and Buddhism. There are also some interesting with the mesmerizing sunrise views over the Himalayas from Nagarkot.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu: Sightseeing tour Patan Durbar Square.

Upon your arrival in the Kathmandu airport you will be greeted by a representative from Thai Nepal Tours. After pick up your luggage and look for our representative with a Thai Nepal Tours display board at the arrival gate. We start our tour of UNESCO World Heritage Site cities adjacent to Kathmandu that is Patan Durbar Square. Patan is also known as The City of Fine Arts and it is the one of the places in the Kathmandu Valley where the medieval arts and architecture still remain in its original state. The Patan Durbar Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. After that you will be then transferred to Hotel. After check in, you can take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends upon your interests and condition. In the evening we will organize a "Welcome Dinner" at an excellent traditional Nepalese Restaurant where you will enjoy a Nepalese cultural program as well as a fine meal.

Day 02: Full Day Sightseeing Tour: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa and Bhaktapur Durbar Square

Today, after breakfast, we start a guided tour to three of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the palaces of the medieval Kings who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom. Swayambhu meaning the "the self-existent" is popular among the foreigners as the Monkey Temple owing to the large number of monkey population residing in the area. Bhaktapur Durbar Square or the Town of the Devotees preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture, and lifestyle to this date. In the afternoon we head for Nagarkot for the mesmerizing sunset views of the Himalayan Rang. In the evening we will enjoy the farewell dinner at hotel with a typical restaurant. And overnight at Nagarkot.

Day 03: Full Day Sightseeing Tour: Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Temple

Today, after the sunrise views over the Himalayas we have breakfast and start a guided tour to two of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Temple. Pashupatinath houses a sacred lignum, or the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. The Aryaghat alongside Pashupati and on the banks of the Bagmati River is a famous funeral site for the Hindus. The Buddhists shrine of Boudhanath is one of the largest stupa in the world, and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist destinations in Kathmandu. In the evening you can do some shopping or walking around in the streets of Thamel, or take a rest, hang around in the city - it all depends upon your interests and condition.

Day 04: Departure to onward destination
